What is Full Mouth Reconstruction?
Full Mouth Reconstruction, also known as Full Mouth Rehabilitation or Full Mouth Restoration, is a process of rebuilding or simultaneously restoring all the teeth in the mouth to a more ideal position, a more ideal bite, and an ideal aesthetic resulting in a smile that is beautiful, functional and healthy. Our practice blends the science of neuromuscular dentistry with the artistry of aesthetic dentistry to create smiles that are healthy, beautiful and functional.
Our practice is is up to date in both advanced cosmetic dentistry techniques as well as full mouth reconstruction techniques. It is our desire to provide you with the healthiest and most attractive smile you can have.
How is Full Mouth Reconstruction Done?
Our practice use a neuromuscular approach in our full mouth makeovers. We will use a computerized K7 program to find your ideal jaw position, and to determine if there is any muscle activity resulting in malocclusion. If so, we will create a temporary dental bite appliance for you to wear. Once your bite is comfortable, we can begin transitioning to the final restorations. Your final restorations may include veneers, crowns, bridges, and implants, or any combination of them. Our goal is for you to have a restored smile that is bright, white, healthy, and functional.
Full Mouth Reconstruction vs. Other Procedures
It is difficult to understand the difference between full mouth reconstruction and other procedures. Full mouth reconstruction is necessary in order to restore ones mouth back to ideal health, function, and beauty, whereas treatments such as porcelain veneers are more of an option to fix a cosmetic issue. Full mouth reconstruction is used to not just to repair cosmetic issues, but to correct more inclusive issues such as severely worn teeth, chronic pain, and bite issues.
